For bugs, it helps to mention your device and iOS version.

Do I need to know any physics?

No. Scatterbox has exactly four results — miss, hit, deflection, and reflection — and the app shows you each one the first time it happens. That is the whole rulebook.

Is there a timer?

There is no time limit — your score counts the beams you fire, not the time you take, so spend as long as you like on a board. If you would rather watch the clock, an optional timer can be switched on in Settings.

How big do the boards get?

The Board of the Day is eight-by-eight, and its atom count rises through the week: three atoms on Monday and Tuesday, four midweek, five on Friday, and a ten-by-ten with six atoms on Saturday and Sunday. In Free Play you choose the board yourself — anywhere from four-by-four up to twelve-by-twelve on iPhone or sixteen-by-sixteen on iPad, with as many atoms as you like. Nothing has to be unlocked.

What is the Board of the Day?

One shared puzzle each day, the same for everyone, generated from the date. Solve it to build a streak; miss a day and the streak resets.

How do I remove the ads?

Open Settings in the app and tap “Remove Ads.” It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it removes every ad permanently on your Apple ID. “Restore Purchases” brings it back on a new device.

Is Scatterbox on Android?

Not yet. Scatterbox is currently iPhone and iPad only.

Does Scatterbox store my data anywhere?

No. Your progress, settings, and streaks stay on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
